Srishti - Stained Glass in Delhi
Week 3
Well, during my interview with Atul Bakshi I learnt that unfortunately, there arent any formal courses in this art. Not in Delhi at least, though a lot of people have been teaching privately.
I have linked a few places to this site, under "ART-LINKS" , one of them being a list of hobby teachers in Delhi. Most of them teach Stained glass along with lots of other things.
I have finally completed my directory, with entries from the yellow pages, along with other enquiry sources.
Its not much, but this is all I could find for now. Its a wonder how little is listed in the yellow pages. I'm SURE there are so many more people involved in Stained Glass in this city!!
Well I've done what I could for now.
Another thing I learnt from Atul Bakshi. There arent any organisations doing restoration work. It's just a few people, who are concerned , who are privately doing it.
It's such a pity. Maybe we can set up a forum on this site, where interested people can contact each other if nothing else. It will be a start. Ok POA for next week: make a list of churches in Delhi that have stained glass worth seeing or maybe even not worth seeing...
