"Canvas" is a maiden collection of poems by Viky Arya, published by Rajkamal Prakashan, a widely respected and renowned name in Hindi publications. Experimental in form and initiative, these collection of poems written in Hindi with English and Roman transcriptions reflect contemporary times, aiming to reach more readers across all borders with its bilingual expressions.

Capturing the multi hued emotions of Life, these 100 poems reflect the blend of experiences of an artist, in a language that's simple to understand, in a manner that touches all those who read it. Written over a decade and inspired by Nature, Viky's poems have been written on train journeys to Dehradoon, on the banks of the Ganges in Benares, late nights at the office in Delhi and even atop a mountain in Uttaranchal.

"Had it not been for Rashmi Dewan's motivation, these poems would have remained in a dusty file beneath my bed" says Viky about the friend who propelled the effort along with the valuable help, clarity, guidance and chai provided by Mamta Govil, Mita Bhan and Deep Ranjani Rai - all of whom who've helped in the transliteration of these words.
