SEEKING SPONSORS FOR MAPPING THE LIVING CULTURAL HERITAGE OF DELHI
The Foundation
Anand Foundation is a NEW DELHI based Indian non-profit organization, with the
avowed objective of appreciation of diversity in young minds through art and
culture. Our projects involve students in
research,
collation,
publication,
and dissemination
on the Living artists, Art traditions and Living Culture in the National Capital
Region of Delhi where we are restricting our area of work, till our resources
permit us to move on to encompass a larger area.
OBJECTIVES
The Foundation takes initiatives to provide an institutional enabling -
framework for facilitation and as a point of convergence for all participants be
they artists, craftsmen, living treasures of oral tradition, students, academic
and cultural institutions, Corporates, NGO's Government and international
organizations.
INITIATIVES
The methodology to achieve this is through involving (senior) school and college
students in tangible exercises over short periods of time (semesters) involving
them with the performing and graphic arts, and more specifically facilitating
interaction and dialogue between students and the artists
SHORT TERM SUMMER INTERNSHIPS FOR STUDENTS
THE PROJECT
During summer vacation each year internships are offered to six students from
senior schools and colleges of DELHI AND SOURNDING AREAS as Art Researchers for
a project for a duration of four to five weeks.
They are paid Rs. 5000/- as research stipend.

SELECTION
Interns are selected on pre submission of their proposed project summary/concept
notes in about 100 words. All project concept notes must reach the Anand
Foundation Office before 1st May 2005.
Interested students may select any one art form or cultural tradition and its
practising exponents in the National Capital Region of DELHI/NEW DELHI. The
project must focus on one of the following related to their chosen theme-living
exponents/ institutions/ scholarships/ materials/ livelihoods, and must add to
the database of the living exponents/ institutions. Preferably it should
spotlight any one eminent personality associated with their chosen art form.
OBJECTIVES
The project work will be published on the Anand Foundation website
www.anandfoundation.com where the data is being collated for free dissemination
both as a Directory as well as resource on the Living Arts of Cultural heritage
of Delhi.
Through the research, collation, Publication and free dissemination of the
information about the living Artists of Delhi, we hope to achieve the following
goals.
1. Creating sensitivity and awareness of the living culture of the city among
students.
2. Establishing a free database on the living Artists for anyone seeking the
information.
3. Creating opportunities for livelihood for Traditional Artists & craftsmen.
LOCATION
Selected students will work out of the Foundation office, at M-77, G.K. II Main
Market I & II Floor. Interested students based in Delhi may send their project

The Anand Foundation is registered under 8OG of the income Tax Department, all
