THE SALIENT FEATURES OF THE HOUSE

This is the oldest family of the world who has been retaining the four hundred years art of Mughal Miniature Painting.  During this long journey the descendants of Mansoor have practised this style of expression as a profession without any break.

The patronage and the titles given by Emoperor Jehangir to Ustad Mansoor (Nadir-Ul-Zaman) was, as a tradition, recognised by the successors of Emperor Jehangir, who later on regularly conferred such awards and titles to the descendants of Mansoor.  And much before the decline of the Mughal dynasty the Britishers had begun their patronage of the descendants of Ustad Mansoor. Similar patronage is repeated again by the present National Government of India.  This a four hundred years' record of unbroken patronage is also established in the family of Firoz.

As a token of appreciation and patronage, the Government of India has presented to each and every Heads of State of the world, over  two thousand examples of the art of Firoz.  This too is another unprecedented record of the World.
