What is Magic? Men have always been interested in Jadu (a Persian word meaning "Mantra" in Hindi and "magic" in English). Infact magic is not a divine power or a Mantra power; the act, which seems unable to be understood by our logical, is called magic because of its Mysterious appearance. In reality, Magic is based on science and technology and need rigorous practice. According to Sayed Hussain magic is the best entertainment to make people happy and the history of magic is as old as the creation of the world. For him, the best trick is the "Backet Trick". Many magicians come from all over the world to learn it. But the trick is a secret well kept by our family.....

About Sayyed Hussain: He belongs to a small village called Dillaravpur in Andhra Pradesh. He used to perform magic tricks, all around his State, on streets and in small colonies with his father. He started to work with his father when he was 12 years old. He became an independent performer at the age of 16. But at this time, in the villages it was no more work for magicians. Then the family came to settled down in Delhi to have more opportunities to perform and to give a better education to their children.
The magic show is the best way to animate parties but, often, it's used in several places where other means of communication are not reachable, as a way to make awareness for HIV/AIDS, vaccination… through a government body called Song And Drama Division.
Performance- Sayyed Hussain has performed all over India, like in Maharashtra (1973 for one year), Gujarat (1980 for 5 months), Bihar (1980 for 2 months), Uttar Pradesh (1970 for 6 months), Kolkata (1965 for1 month), Orrisa (1965 for 3 months) Chattisgarh (1975 for 4 months), Kashmir (1981 to 2004), Punjab (2003 for 15 days) and Haryana (1990 only for 10 days) abroad like Dubai (1996 for 1 month) and Dubai (1999 for 1 month).

Mohammad Hamid s/o Sayyed Hussain
About Mohammed Hamid I am 16 years old. My father is a traditional magician and I hope that he is a good traditional magician in the world. Since I was a little child, I have been learning all of the same magic tricks form my father, about 10-12 years. My whole family is magicians. My grandfather was a magician, then my father as well, and also all my 7 siblings. It is a tradition amongst us. I don't idolize anyone… I believe in my father and I want to be like him. I enjoy doing all the tricks in front of the people, which are; the Cord pullers, the Eggs disappearing, the Rope trick and the Sword piercing.
Other Art Form- Through Kalakar Trust, I have learned many things like juggling, face painting, making tattoos on hands, a little bit of tap dancing and to play flute.
Teaching Skills- Since I was a good magician at the Kalakar Vikas School and that my grades were good (I achieved 1st, all the time), the director gave me the opportunity to teach some magic tricks to the children there.
Performance- I have been to Netherlands to perform a magic show in 2002 for one month on behalf of the Festival Mundial but also for some government official evens and other functions held there. My father, brother and I, we often go to places like Agra, Jaipur, and Mumbai to do shows. I speak English, hence I do the tricks in English while my brother does it in Hindi. I go to many schools and perform as well as functions, and parties like the one at Kamani auditorium last month. I have also performed at the Australian embassy, last year.
