The Banff Mountain Film Festival

The Banff Mountain Film Festival, presented by The Canadian High Commission in New Delhi, Vasant Valley School and The Anand Foundation, brings you a selection of the world's best mountain films Experience the adventure of climbing, mountain expeditions, remote cultures, and the world's last great wild places- all brought to life on the screen on the 16th of September 2005.

In addition to the films there will be talks on the environment by well know environmentalist and documentary film maker Mike Pandey.
There will also be an in house free adventure camp with lots of learning /activities for children set up by LEAP. Stretch your muscles on the climbing wall or check out the information booths set up by Canadian High Commission and Canada Education Centre to win exciting prizes.

Forty of New Delhi's schools have been sent invitations asking them to send 10 children aged 15 to 17 and one teacher to come and view these films. In addition to the children we have invited several people from the media. The mountaineering associations as well as eminent film makers and environmentalists. The children will be asked to provide us with their feedback and comments on the films and the impact these films had on them.

Parents & teachers will also have a chance to see some of these great films later in the day.
