As my summer project at Anand Foundation I plan to do some research in the field of photography.

TYPES OF PHOTOGRAPHY I PLAN TO EXPLORE

1. Architectural photography.
2. Nature photography.
3. Art/abstract photography.
4. 3D/macro photography.

TARGETS

1. Upload as large a directory on the Photographers of Delhi, Photography institutes and galleries, links to related sites onto the foundation site.
2. Upload a directory on hardware stores.
3. Upload a section on tips....how to get started. What cameras to use digital cameras Vs manual cameras, what films to use, how to use those films...
4. Upload a section on the different types of photography (those listed above as well as a pharagarph on thers usch as fashion, industrial etc)
5. Interview at least two photographers in each of the fields listed above.

QUESTIONS I SHOULD HAVE ANSWERS TO IN THE END

1. The present position of photography in Delhi,
a. Is it recognized as an Art form, as it would be abroad.
b. Is Delhi a "photogenic" location (find out views of different photographers)
2. How a regular individual like me can start out in photography
3. Can photography be taken up as a career, scope of photography as a career.
4. What hardware should a person start out with.
5. Are there any photography forums, magazines etc in the NCR, if yes, how can I use the Anand Foundation website to inform the people about them.
6. What are the photographable locations in Delhi.

Photography is an art which people are reluctant to take up, mostly becuase of the high cost and more importantly because people believe that there is nothing to shoot out here in Delhi. What these people fail to realize is the vast potential Delhi has for photographers. It's not necessary for a person to go to the mountains or to the beach to take good photographs; there are more than a hundred locations right here in Delhi itself. By the end of this project, I will provide enough information to the people of Delhi, and to everyone else, so as to enable them to explore the field of photography.
