The virtuous grandson of the renowned Ustad Sabri Khan, Suhail Khan holds great promise as a Sarangi player. This extremely gifted child, who has stepped into the teens, was at one time acknowledged as child prodigy when he mesmerised the audience with his Sarangi playing, at the tender age six.
When his uncle Kamal Sabri used to take classes from his father Ustad Sabri Khan, they observed that the two year old would sit and observe them with great curiosity. This attraction extended to the instrument and the sound emanating from it. He was seen trying to reach for the instrument and pull its strings. It was at the age of three when Kamal one day noticed that Suhail, who was just a toddler then, trying to actually fiddle the Sarangi with the bow.
